Important bits

Special Needs

Our setting welcomes families and children of all abilities and encourages access to all activities of the Foundation Stage. Parents of children with Special (Educational) Needs will be able to work with the Nursery SEN Co-ordinator (SENCO) and outside agencies to enhance their child's learning.

Behaviour Management

We believe that children and adults flourish best in an ordered environment in which everyone knows what is expected of them and children are free to develop their play and learning without fear of being hurt or hindered by anyone else. We aim to work towards a situation in which children can develop self-discipline in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement.

OFSTED

Education and Care Standards Inspections In July 2020 we are proud to acknowledge that the Ofsted inspection report recognised the Nursery as being "good" in all areas of education and care. This report can be found and printed from the Ofsted website at www.ofsted.gov.uk (Ofsted Certificate No: EY241036) search on "Lovel End Nursery".

Parental Involvement

The nursery recognises parents as the first and most important educators of their young children - research shows that children learn better when their parents are involved. We value parental support and welcome you to take part in activities carried out at nursery, eg during sessions, on visits to the library, sports day, concerts, etc.
Due to a number of regulations, siblings may not attend parent helper sessions.

Our Pre-school Nursery Policies

We have a number of policies relating to the running of the nursery, all of which can be found in the Nursery and are available on request. We ask that all children attend a minimum of three sessions (3hrs each) across three different days.

We are registered as a charity

Registered Charity No: 1072991

Lovel End Nursery is a charity, which means no personal profit or gain is made from any fundraising, donations or fees. We are registered with the Charities Commission and we operate within their strict guidelines. We follow a constitution which is approved by the Charities Commission and which is lodged with them. The constitution describes fully the nursery’s objectives, and how it is run and managed.  If you are a parent/carer of a child at the nursery here, you are free to see a copy of our constitution at any time.  We are also in compliance with the Pre-School Learning Alliance.

Our Committee consists mainly of parent volunteers who become Trustees, we actively encourage and welcome any new members.
